Today, May 29, 2026, the Montgomery Township Police Department responded to the sightings of a black bear in the area of Route 202 and Bethlehem Pike and the 3000 block of Avenel Blvd near Dekalb Pike. The area was checked by officers, with no bears being located.

The Pennsylvania Game Commission was notified of the sighting and stated they would be checking the area and monitoring the sightings of any reported black bears in the area.

✔️ Back Away Slowly
✔️ Never Approach a Bear or Feed It - Keep Your Distance
✔️ Make Noise If It Comes Close

If a bear is sighted in Montgomery Township, contact the Montgomery Township Police Department or report it directly to the Pennsylvania Game Commission Southeast Regional Office at (610) 926-3136

Truth.

When U.S. Sen. Dave McCormick published his recent op-ed attempting to rebrand Trump’s unpopular “One Big Bad Bill” and advocating for school vouchers and tax credits, he painted a bleak picture of Pennsylvania's public schools and offered privatization as the cure.

As a lifelong advocate for our children, I cannot let his Wall Street talking points go unchallenged—because the health of our Commonwealth is at stake.
