Join us for an enriching and interactive workshop as we
celebrate the profound impact of Latin American poetry
in Philadelphia. Presented in partnership with Library of
America’s Latino Poetry, the Latin American Book Fair,
Acción Colombia, Temple University and the Free Library of
Philadelphia, this event offers a unique opportunity to explore
and contribute to the vibrant world of Latino poetry.
Participants will delve into the themes and traditions that have
shaped Latin American poetry, discussing its significance and
resonance in today’s world. The workshop will culminate in a
collaborative experience where attendees will come together
to recreate a group poem, reflecting the diverse voices and
experiences of the community.

This program is presented as part of Latino Poetry: Places
We Call Home, a major public humanities initiative taking
