Last night was not the night any of us had hoped for, and it was not the night many of us had been expecting. We have a few days to be sad, but after that, it’s time to get to work. Hillary reminded us over and over that we are stronger together. Losing this election does not change that. We will fight for the causes of justice and fairness that Hillary has championed throughout her entire career. We will continue to fight for everyone who needs our help, because that is what Hillary Clinton has always done. We will fight so that someday, we can break that highest glass ceiling. We will fight for a fairer economy, for equal pay for equal work, for legislation that protects our environment, for the protection of a woman’s right to choose – for everything that we believe in. We will fight to show that, as it always has, love trumps hate.
As she tends to do, Hillary said it best this morning: “I believe we are stronger together and we will go forward together. And you should never, ever regret fighting for that.”
Thank you for working with us throughout this entire campaign to try to elect Hillary Clinton. We should continue to be proud of the work we’ve done to advance the causes we believe in. We may have come up short this time, but we’re not done fighting.
