Sakinah in the City 2026: 2nd Annual Muslim Mental Wellness Summit
Healing Together: Faith, Wellness & Belonging
Across Philadelphia, many individuals and families are navigating the effects of violence, grief, stress, social isolation, family challenges, and growing mental health concerns. Hosted by the Mayor's Office of Muslim Engagement, the Mayor's Commission on Muslim Engagement, and Philadelphia Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services, this summit will bring together faith leaders, mental health professionals, educators, community organizations, and community members for a day of reflection, learning, dialogue, and partnership.
Together, we will explore:
• Mental wellness and belonging
• Youth development and community safety
• Family relationships and healthy communication
• Reentry and community reintegration
• Faith leadership, accountability, and community healing
• Access to care and community support
The summit will also launch Connected for Care: A Masjid Mental Wellness Partnership Initiative, a new effort to strengthen partnerships between Philadelphia masaajid and trusted mental health professionals.
