Our Values
The Friends of the Falls of Schuylkill Library is an all-volunteer community member organization promoting the Falls of Schuylkill Library’s services and supporting the preservation of the Library, an original Andrew Carnegie funded library.
• The Friends value our library for its history, its central location, and its content which is free to everyone.
• We value the Library as a community meeting place; it is the heart of East Falls.
• We value literacy and library programs that work toward it.
• We value meeting the needs of a diverse community by encouraging and funding library programs open to anyone, whether a library card holder or not.
• We value cooperation with other East Falls organizations in supporting a vibrant community.

ATTENTION EAST FALLS FRIENDS & NEIGHBORS!

Next Wednesday, September 16th at 6:00 PM, Friends of the Falls of Schuylkill Library is hosting a Community Meeting at Falls of Schuylkill Branch Library (Free Library of Philadelphia) to discuss any questions or concerns you may have about the upcoming temporary library closure. Our guests (as listed on the flyer below) will be available to answer your questions.

The meeting will take place in the library's downstairs meeting room (enter through the 3501 Midvale Avenue entrance).

BIG NEWS!!!

Falls of Schuylkill Branch Library (Free Library of Philadelphia) will be closed from September 27th to January 11th for installation of our new HVAC system.

**Please note that all library programs will run as normal through September 26th.**

Please join us for our upcoming Board Game Cafe (September 19th) and our weekly Sit & Stitch and Fiber Arts Groups (more details included under the pinned posts section). Please reach out to any groups you currently are a part of for more details about meeting during the library closure, or message us here, and we will connect you with the appropriate program leader.
