Hello Facebook friends and family! It is with great humility, pride and joy that I announce my candidacy for Mayor of Philadelphia! I have spent my whole life serving the wonderful people and children all over the City of Philadelphia in various capacities. For years I have watched as this city has gone down. Philadelphia can do so much better! I have decided to put my energy into running for mayor to help bring about real change and solutions instead of continuing to accept the status quo of crime, higher taxes, failing schools and being number one in the country in poverty! We need jobs! We need lower taxes! I am sick of watching my people vote for Democrats and get nothing in return. They have taken our votes for granted and it is because of our community that the Democrats continue to control this city. It is time to stop voting party and vote for the best person to serve our beautiful city. Our inner-city communities deserve to have resources from both parties on all of our blocks. My block actually gets more resources from the Republican party and I am proud of that! Trust me if you switch your registrations to Republican and the Democrats see that then they will start to serve the people of the city of Philadelphia again. It's a win-win for those of you who have the courage to stand up for what is right for the City of Philadelphia and stop voting Democrat just because somebody told you so. You cannot really blame the Republican party for anything wrong in Philadelphia because we have not had a Republican mayor since 1954! We only have 3 Republican councilman on City Council. It is insanity to continue to do the same thing and look for different results! I invite you all to come out to my formal announcement on my 56th birthday, January 29, 2019. If you are a Democrat I would love for you to switch your registration to Republican just so that I can get on the ballot to offer the city of Philadelphia a choice. It's not going to be an easy task but with your help and support it can be done! However, in order to get on the ballot I need to get Republican signatures. Those of you who know me know that I am worthy of this undertaking. You can always switch your registration back to Democrat right after the primary and still vote for me in the general election in November! I love this city and I love the people who live in it and I would love the opportunity to serve as the Mayor of Philadelphia. Not only would I be the first African American female to run in the city of Philadelphia but I would be the first African American female Republican to serve as Mayor. Help me to make history!
