Welsh Road will be closing today at 1 PM and closed on Monday in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

Get ready though because next Wednesday, 9/9, starts Welsh Road's long awaited return to storytime. Every Monday at noon (for children 0-5) and every Wednesday (for children 0-2), we'll be reading stories and singing songs. Please join us!!

As we start to head back to school and resume daily routines around classrooms and homework, Welsh Road wants to remind everyone that we offer homework help and small arts and crafts each day thanks to our wonderful LEAP program. Please see the September calendar for upcoming fun activities.

Welsh Road Library is excited to highlight the wonderful efforts of LAMP (Library of Accessible Media for Pennsylvanians). We are happy to assist patrons in signing up for this service anytime. Please stop in today and ask to learn more.

Welsh Road Library has gotten a few calls today about free back to school supplies with some sites suggesting we are hosting an event tomorrow at noon. Unfortunately, this is not the case and Welsh Road is NOT giving away back to school supplies at this time. There are a small few select libraries that are having Back to School supply events but we are not among them.

Additionally, there is no Stevie the Inventor book signing today. That will be at a later date.

With rain forecasted for some of this week, Welsh Road Library is trying to step up our indoor offerings and increase the excitement inside.

This week, we'll have two Science in the Summer classes (Tues 8/4 and Wed 8/5 at 2 PM). And then this Thursday 8/6, we'll have the Museum of the American Revolution bring some artifacts found under the museum and share a little bit about the archeology process. Then, they return next Tuesday for a program on Life at Sea!

And with just two weeks remaining, please make sure you're stopping in and updating your gameboards for Summer Reading.
