The election of Daniel McCaffrey to the Supreme Court is very important in the event of challenges to abortion, LGBTQ, and other rights and to the integrity of our PA 2024 spring presidential primary and fall presidential elections.

With respect to other elected offices at the local, county, state, and federal levels, ADA encourages you to consider candidates with progressive values. Important issues to consider are protecting and expanding:

* Voting rights and voting access
* Women's reproductive healthcare
* Healthcare access and funding

Also vital to Pennsylvania’s economy and wellbeing will be the upcoming reauthorization of the Farm Bill (SNAP), preservation and enhancement of farmland, and more.

Really? Impeach Larry Krasner, the democratically elected district attorney of Philadelphia?!

FRIDAY, JULY 8. SOME GOOD AND SOME BAD NEWS FROM HARRISBURG.
STARTING WITH THE BUDGET:
Good news:
-significant funding for public education through the fair funding formula; and significant funding for Level Up.
-$125,000,000 for Home Repair--a significant win. Thank you Senator Nikil Saval .
-Some additional funding for elections
Bad news:
-NO additional funding for Pennsylvanians who need other kinds of help.
-some negative funding around elections.
HUGE CORPORATE TAX CUT. $250,000,000 THIS YEAR. THE CUT WILL LAST 8 YEARS AND WILL TOTAL 8,000,000,000. THIS EFFECTIVELY ELIMINATES ADDITIONAL FUNDING TO MEET THE NEEDS OF PENNSYLVANIANS.

SENATE BILL 106
-eliminate the election of the Lt. Governor; allow the gubernatorial candidate to select the person for that position
-permit audits for elections
-authorize Constitutional Amendment to ban all tax-payer funding for abortions for any reason in PA and ban any other right related to abortion.
