Big impact, local hearts.
Rotary District 7450 Gundaker Foundation donated $27,000 to local food banks,
supporting neighbors in need and strengthening our communities.

Through generosity and service, Rotary District 7450 Gundaker Foundation donated
$27,000 to local food cupboards, reinforcing Rotary’s commitment to addressing food
insecurity at the local level. Rotary Clubs in District 7450 were able to apply for a
$1,000 grant to support their local food cupboard.
The Rotary Club of NE Philadelphia Cheltenham Rockledge is making a meaningful
impact in the fight against food insecurity through generous donations and volunteer
support for the local food cupboard. Guided by Rotary’s motto, Service Above Self, club
members came together to help ensure local families have access to nutritious food
when they need it most.
Through a special grant offered by the Rotary District 7450 Gundaker Foundation ,
Rotarians helped stock the food cupboard with essential items, including pantry staples
and other high-need goods. These efforts will directly benefit individuals and families
across the NE Philadelphia Cheltenham Rockledge community who are experiencing
food insecurity.
“Food insecurity is a challenge that affects many of our neighbors,” said a
representative of the Rotary Club of NE Philadelphia Cheltenham Rockledge. “By
supporting the local food cupboard, we’re able to turn compassion into action and make
a positive difference right here in our community.”
The food cupboard, Food for Hope, expressed sincere appreciation for the Rotary
District 7450 Gundaker Foundation and the Rotary Club of NE Philadelphia
Cheltenham Rockledge support, noting that community partnerships play a vital role in
meeting the growing demand for food assistance.
The Rotary District 7450 Gundaker Foundation and the Rotary Club of NE Philadelphia
Cheltenham Rockledge remain committed to addressing critical local needs and
strengthening the community through service projects that improve lives and bring
people together.
The partnership underscores Rotary’s commitment to hands-on service and
collaboration with local organizations.
