Friends of Historic Sedgeley Friends of Historic Sedgeley We invite you to become a Friend of Historic Sedgeley.

Formed in 2012, the Friends of Historic Sedgeley has a growing list of “friends.” They are Officers and Directors of our non-profit corporation, volunteers for service projects, donors, our neighbors in Fairmount Park, generous corporate sponsors, Sedgeley Club members, and anyone who shares our common interests. We offer many ways for you to become involved in FHS and preserve a national landmark right here in Philadelphia.

Celebrate National Lighthouse Day 2025!

Philadelphia, it’s time to LOVE YOUR LIGHTHOUSE!

Join us this Saturday, August 9 from 10 AM – 2 PM for a family-friendly and FREE event!

Sedgeley Club’s historic boathouse and lighthouse will be open to the public for tours and a bit of history.

Are you a National Lighthouse Society passport holder? Our stamp will be available!

Did you know? Friends of Historic Sedgeley participates in the Lighthouse Passport Program through the United States Lighthouse Society. The Light at Turtle Rock is open for visitors at our Annual Lighthouse Day celebration and by appointment! You can always obtain a stamp by visiting on your own and sending a SASE.
