The SWAG Team at Why Not Prosper, joined Merakey on Broad Street for their annual Community Resource Fair. The event boasted community organizations, wellness groups, massage therapist, free produce, haircuts, & food, & raffle prizes by Merakey & 100.3 FM.

We connected the community with our resources, met new organizations to partner with & had a great time with the community!

Investing in our inner growth so we can better serve our community.

Our SWAG team took some intentional time together to learn the art of journaling! Reflective writing is such a powerful tool for self-care, mental clarity, and processing the deep, impactful work we do on the streets every day.

By taking care of our own minds and hearts, we refill our cups to keep pouring love, resources, and dedication into the city we love. 💜🧠

Building bridges through Restorative Justice.

On Monday, May 18th, our team attended an impactful Restorative Justice Workshop at 1401 JFK Blvd. Sponsored by The Philadelphia Reentry Coalition, Mural Arts Philadelphia, and the Office of Public Safety: Division of Reentry, this session brought together powerful perspectives on community healing and transformation.

Collective workshops like these are essential as we collaborate across the city to break down barriers, support returning citizens, and invest in meaningful, restorative solutions for Philadelphia. Thank you to all the sponsors for hosting such a vital conversation!

Celebrating new beginnings for workforce development in Philly!

The SWAG team was proud to participate in the grand re-opening of PA CareerLink Northwest on May 21st! The exciting event featured an official ribbon-cutting ceremony, a facility tour, and resource tables representing organizations from all across the City of Philadelphia.

The newly upgraded building is a fantastic asset for our community, boasting a brand-new computer lab, modern classrooms, an employee break room, and beautiful, spacious areas designed for networking and career connections.

We are thrilled to celebrate this milestone alongside them as they continue to empower job seekers and strengthen our local workforce!

Out in the community, doing what we love!

On Tuesday, May 19th, our SWAG team hit the pavement with the REV Van at Vernon Park on Germantown Ave. From 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, we had the privilege of serving our neighbors with essential resources, fresh food, and clothing.

REV Van days are truly the heartbeat of our organization—they give us the chance to connect directly with the heart of our city and our beloved Germantown community. Thank you to everyone who stopped by and allowed us to serve you!

Expanding our network and community impact!

Our SWAG Outreach Coordinator recently attended the 2nd Annual Business Summit & Expo at La Salle University’s Founder’s Hall. Hosted by the Philadelphia Department of Commerce Mayor’s Business Action Team, the event was packed with insightful plenary panels, breakout sessions, and incredible networking opportunities.

We love connecting with local resources, vendors, and leaders to better serve our community. Thank you to everyone who made this event a success!

The SWAG Team from Why Not Proser attended the City of Philadelphia's "Propelling Towards My Purpose" Youth & Young Adult Justice Resource Fair took place on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Eddie's House (5900 Market St).
Presented by the City's Division of Criminal Justice and Office of Public Safety, the free event provided employment connections, paid training, expungement support, mental health services, and housing resources specifically tailored for justice-impacted youth and young adults.
