In December of 2025, the late Barry Grossbach made a generous contribution to UCD’s Green City Works landscaping subsidiary to support tree planting throughout the Spruce Hill neighborhood. We now invite residents of Spruce Hill to share input on where these trees should be planted.

The Spruce Hill Community Association was out cleaning up the neighborhood this past weekend! Representatives picked up trash along 44th street between Market and Walnut, as well as the 4300 block of Sansom. We gathered more than 13 bags of trash and got the neighborhood looking a bit cleaner!

Hi Neighbors!

SHCA will be hosting its annual meeting this Tuesday, Nov. 18th at 7:30 in the PAS cafeteria (entering along 43rd at the cafeteria) and on zoom. Please see the linked agenda. We will present on what has happened in 2025, hear from our guest speaker Kathryn Ott Lovell on the upcoming 250th birthday celebration in Philly, vote on our new slate, and listen to topics you'd like to address at the end of our meeting.
