King for City Council 2019 Candidate for City Council (3rd District) in the City of Philadelphia, PA. election law. But King is not deterred. Tony is single, never married and no kids.

HISTORY
For almost one quarter of a century District Council #3 has had only ONE choice and one name. Now Comes this humble farmer with a pitchfork to give the people of District 3 another choice and to represent West & Southwest Philly. y News listed King's name in the election day results on May 18, 2011. In 2015 the judges and Blackwell's attorney were again successful in removing King's name from the ballot...... by hook and crook. The district needs a new name, new face and new warrior. CAMPAIGN PROMISE:
In the manner in which made Philadelphia world famous in the movie "Rocky" Tony promises to run up and down the Art Museum steps 100 TIMES to thank District 3 for choosing King for City Council 2019 if elected. UPBRINGING & FAMILY LIFE
Tony was born at Mercy Douglas Hospital at 50th & Woodland Avenue and raised on the 1200 & 1300 blocks of South 46th Street. Tony has a wife in South America. Tony lived at Hardy's house on Cobbs Creek Parkway and even played the violin for Wilson Goode Sr. in the living room of that house when he was in elementary school. Tony did much cleaning & canvassing for Hardy Williams Sr. during his elementary and junior high school years. CHILDHOOD STAR
Tony was a childhood star on the hit TV show called "Dancin' On Air." This experience was a turning point in his life. EARLY EDUCATION

Tony graduated from Temple University (2003) where he studied Psychology with a minor in African-American History. BILINGUAL
King speaks, writes and reads Spanish & English very very well. WRITINGS
Tony has written 5 or 6 guest columns for the Philadelphia Daily News and is the author of Survival Guide for Single Men. King also wrote a feature screenplay for a motion picture. SPORTS
King fell in love with the sport of bicycle road racing after watching the 1988 Tour de France and later became a Pro/Am cyclist. King finished 9th in a climbing competition up the famous Manayunk Wall in 1999. CIVIC & CULTURAL
Tony attended West Philly High at a special period in time where he met the influential & controversial African-American studies teacher JOHN SKIEF (founder of Harambee Institute). As Tony's mentor Skief began to use Tony's middle name because it was more "ethnic" Skief said. Skief introduced the world of fraternities, sororities and college life to students at WPHS and as a result Tony, with the help of 3 or 4 others, started a fraternity in 1988 which later became 3 university chapters. While still at WPHS Tony wrote the fraternity's constitution. Skief's classes were so enlightening that students from the University of Pennsylvania used to visit and sit-in. The Penn students also tutored some of the high school students while there. At WPHS Señor Don Holland, a foreign languages teacher, introduced King to Spanish. MOVE TRAGEDY 1985
King was in Jr. High School during the MOVE tragedy in 1985. Later In college Tony helped produce the play called "6221: Prophecy & Tragedy" with the InterAct Theater Company. So King has intimate knowledge of this historic District 3 tragedy.
