Mental Health Partnerships

Mental Health Partnerships Our Values
We value Hope, the belief that a better future is achievable. By fostering hope, we promote success and resilience.

Mental Health Partnerships was founded, and continues to thrive, on the basic principle that people with mental health conditions can and do recover because they have the resilience to direct their own journeys in overcoming significant adversity. Our Vision
Individuals challenged by mental health conditions are empowered to direct their recovery journeys, and family members are prepared to play s

upportive roles, all as members of informed and inclusive communities. Our Mission
To promote groundbreaking ideas and create opportunities for resilience and recovery by applying the knowledge learned from the people we support, employ, and engage in transformative partnerships. We value Self-Determination, the exercise of free will - to encourage the independent expression of ideas and control over one's own life. We value a Holistic Focus, which represents the interrelatedness of all human needs. By recognizing the connection among physical, mental and spiritual needs, we nurture growth and creativity. We value Support, the nonjudgmental sharing of knowledge, experience and assistance among peers and colleagues - as a basis for promoting personal and professional development and achievement. We value Cultural Awareness, understanding and honoring a person's deeply held values, beliefs and practices - as a foundation for building, enriching and complementary relationships. We value Personal Responsibility, that each of us is accountable for our actions, and that each of is responsible for pursuing his or her purpose in life - as vital for overcoming challenges and achieving personal and professional goals. We value Empowerment, the process of helping individuals increase their capacity to make choices and to transform those choices into desired outcomes - as necessary for helping individuals gain the self-confidence required for self-actualization and leadership. We value Respect, the unconditional regard for the inherent worth of all individuals - as necessary for developing, maintaining and enhancing effective personal and professional relationships. We value a Strengths-Based Perspective, which presumes that everyone has resilience and talents, and which acknowledge individuals' unique ideas and experiences. By focusing on strengths, we cultivate hope. We value Education and Learning, the lifelong pursuit of knowledge and experiences - for their own sake and for enhancing personal and professional development. Our work is guided by the following convictions
People with serious mental health conditions can and do recover. Recovery is different for each person, but is possible for all. Recovery occurs in the community and with connections to natural supports. Individuals affected by mental health conditions are endowed with the resilience required to overcome significant adversity. Creating an environment of hope is the first step for a successful recovery journey. The active involvement of people with mental health conditions and family members at all levels of planning and development is essential for the achievement of system transformation and successful outcomes. Children, youth, adults, family members and communities have the capacity for resilience and recovery. Successful organizations proactively include all employees and other stakeholders in organizational development, planning and decision-making.

We were proud to join more than 100 advocates, providers, and community members in Harrisburg for the Bucks-Mont Collaborative's 2026 Day of Advocacy.

Housing and mental health go hand in hand. As our President & CEO, Dr. Jeannine Lisitski, shared during the rally, "Stability is not a luxury. It is the foundation of recovery. Housing is not separate from mental health — housing is mental health care."

Thank you to all who came together to advocate for stronger housing and behavioral health supports across Pennsylvania.

☀️ What a beautiful day at our TCM Picnic at Parkside yesterday!

Participants and staff came together to enjoy great food, fun games, refreshing water ice, and plenty of opportunities to connect and celebrate community. With a food truck, water ice truck, and lots of smiles all around, it was the perfect way to spend a summer day.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special. Recovery, wellness, and connection can thrive when people come together. 💙

As we continue celebrating our 75th anniversary, we thought we'd share this archival "found footage" from 1981.

Just kidding.

Liminal spaces can feel pretty unsettling, confusing, and disorienting. That's part of what makes the Backrooms so unnerving...and why they resonate with so many people. Sometimes, navigating mental health challenges can feel a lot like that too.

The difference? You don't have to find your way through mental health challenges alone.

At Mental Health Partnerships, we're here to help people find support, connection, and hope when life feels uncertain. No matter where you are in your mental health journey, you don't have to wander through it by yourself. Peer connection matters!

Last week, PeerNet Bucks County hosted a picnic where participants came together for a day of community, conversation, and support. Participants Carly & Tris shared how important these spaces are in their life, helping them get out of the house, connect with others, and reduce isolation. Even when socializing feels difficult, being around a supportive community makes a difference.

That's what PeerNet is all about...meeting people where they are and creating space for connection, recovery, and growth.

Mental health recovery is about more than just getting by. Too often, people living with depression feel pressure to say they are “fine” even when they are still struggling with symptoms and unmet needs.

Johnson & Johnson has launched "Generation Fine," a new campaign encouraging people to expect more from depression treatment and aim for remission, not just “good enough.” The initiative was developed alongside mental health advocates, including Mental Health America, the nation’s leading community-based nonprofit dedicated to mental health and well-being. Mental Health Partnerships is proud to be a Mental Health America affiliate.

Happy Pride Month! 🏳️‍🌈

Today marks the beginning of a month dedicated to celebrating the strength, resilience, history, and contributions of LGBTQIA+ communities.

At Mental Health Partnerships, we believe everyone deserves to feel seen, supported, and valued for who they are. Throughout June, we'll be sharing stories, resources, events, and moments that highlight the importance of connection, belonging, and mental wellness within LGBTQIA+ communities.

Pride is about celebrating authenticity, honoring progress, and continuing the work toward a world where everyone can thrive.

We're excited to celebrate with you all month long. Happy Pride Month!

As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close, we want to share a photo of the Ben Franklin Bridge lit up green earlier throughout this month.

This May, we've celebrated 75 Years of Hope by creating more good days together. We shared stories of recovery, resilience, connection, and hope. We highlighted the people, programs, and communities working every day to make more good days possible for themselves and others.

Thank you for following along. Whether you attended an event, watched a video, shared a post, started a conversation, or simply took a moment to prioritize your own mental health, you helped make this month meaningful.

While Mental Health Awareness Month may be ending, our commitment to creating more good days doesn't stop here. Mental health matters every day of the year, and together we can continue building a community where support, recovery, and hope are always within reach.

As Mental Health Awareness Month is coming to a close, we’re still continuing the conversation through real stories of hope, recovery, and connection.

This month’s theme reminds us that talking about mental health matters, and Rich’s story is a powerful example of why. We sat down with Rich at Parkside to talk about what wellness and recovery look like in his life, why coming to Parkside is important to him, and how the people there support him along the way.

No one should have to navigate recovery alone. Community, connection, and support can make all the difference.

Watch Rich’s story now on YouTube and help us continue the conversation around mental health:

At this month's all staff meeting, 57 team members participated in an internal survey that reinforces something central to our work at Mental Health Partnerships during Mental Health Awareness Month.

The results show that:

60% of staff have lived experience with behavioral health challenges
88% have a family member with lived experience

These numbers reflect more than data. They reflect a workforce deeply connected to the communities we serve. Lived experience continues to shape how we listen, support, and build systems rooted in dignity, understanding, and recovery.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, we are reminded that mental health touches every family and every community. Your support helps us expand access, strengthen advocacy, and continue this work.
