Our own Rayna Smaller was one of this year’s Team Excellence Winners, chosen by her peers as a model of the passion, expertise, and commitment it takes to support victims here at PCA.

Rayna came to Philadelphia Children’s Alliance in 2013 and now serves as our Caregiver Support Group Coordinator, supporting parents with a safe, welcoming, and judgement-free space for healing.

Congratulations, Rayna! Learn more about our programs at philachildrensalliance.org

Mental health is a priority every single day at Philadelphia Children’s Month, and in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, we wanted to share Dr. Brittany’s story.

In her own words, Philadelphia Children’s Alliance was the tether that kept her going through her son’s trauma and healing. “When abuse happens to a child in their home, it shakes up everyone who loves that child.”

Each May, we observe National Missing Children’s Day. One alert, one share, or one action from our partners, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, can bring a child home.

Visit ncmec.org for more information on how you can get involved.

The 2026 PREVENT Conference was incredible, connecting leaders in child advocacy, education, support, and service.

Earlier this month, Philadelphia Children’s Alliance welcomed speakers from Zero Abuse Project, National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, and our very own forensic interviewers for morning panels. We ended the day with an engaging workshop and dialogue with Change the Conversation.

Thank you to our attendees, staff, and presenters. Can’t wait to do it all again next year!

Philadelphia Children’s Alliance staff and friends installed 1,649 pinwheels up and down Hunting Park Avenue in honor of the children and families we served from July 2024 – June 2025.

These pinwheels will shine for the rest of the month, celebrating Child Abuse Prevention Month and leading up to the Bear Affair on May 7 at the National Constitution Center.

Special thanks to Stephanie Skinner, this year’s Miss Philadelphia, for joining us!
