Mothers In Charge, Inc.

Mothers In Charge, Inc. Mothers In Charge, Inc. We're a dedicated violence Prevention, Intervention and Education organization. Chapters now exist in several chapters.

is a violence prevention, intervention, and education based organization which advocates & supports youth, young adults, and families affected by violence. We're here to stand by youth, young adults, families, and community organizations impacted by violence. Our mission is clear: we advocate for, and lend our unwavering support to, those affected by violence. We believe in a hol

istic approach to ending violence because we understand that saving our sons and daughters from the scourge of gun violence requires comprehensive solutions. Mothers In Charge is comprised of impassioned mothers, grandmothers, aunts, and sisters who are committed to working towards savings lives. Most of the members have experienced the horror of having a son or daughter or loved one murdered. Because of the death and the life of their loved one, each mother and member is committed to saving lives and preventing another mother from having to experience this terrible tragedy. Together, we strive to create safer communities and brighter futures. Visit our Kansas City Chapter's page: https://www.facebook.com/MothersInChargeKC

Introducing Turning Trauma into Triumph (TTT) — a powerful program in partnership with that uses storytelling, spoken word, and creative expression to help young people find their voices and process their experiences in healthy, empowering ways.

Currently working with middle school youth, TTT creates a safe space where creativity becomes a tool for healing, confidence, and self-discovery. The program is led by our staff member and spoken word artist herself, Naima Vivian, alongside other talented Philadelphia artists who help guide and inspire the next generation through art and expression.

This Mother’s Day, we recognize that this day can hold many emotions at once. Love, grief, gratitude, longing, healing, and remembrance.

Today, we honor every journey and every story — the mothers, the mother figures, those grieving, those hoping, and those carrying both joy and pain at the same time.

No matter what this day looks like for you, we’re sending love, compassion, and a bouquet of acknowledgment your way. 💙💗

As we enter Mother’s Day weekend, we hold space for every kind of mother in our community — those celebrating, those grieving, those healing, and those carrying the memory of a child they love deeply.

At Mothers In Charge, we know this weekend can bring joy for some and heartbreak for others. No matter where your heart is today, please know you are seen, valued, and not alone.

This weekend, may we lead with compassion, check on one another, and honor the strength of mothers everywhere. 💙💗
