Bethesda Project provides emergency shelter, housing, and supportive services.

Bethesda Project provides a caring and compassionate family to Philadelphia's most vulnerable -- individuals experiencing homelessness. Since its inception in 1979, the non-profit organization has grown to include emergency shelter, permanent supportive housing and low-income independent housing at 16 sites throughout Center City serving individuals experiencing homelessness.

The Battle is Back! Grab a paddle and meet us on the court for Battle of the Paddles. Bethesda Project’s third annual pickleball tournament and fundraiser. Join us at Bounce Pickleball Philly’s climate-controlled indoor courts, for a mixed-doubles-style tournament. All proceeds support Bethesda Project, a nonprofit that provides shelter, housing, and services for unhoused adults.

July was Social Wellness Month, designed to highlight the importance of strengthening relationships, building supportive social networks, and enhancing overall well-being.

In recognition of this, Bethesda Project’s Leadership Team came together to learn more about social wellness during a Human Resources-led session. Staff celebrated one thing each site currently does to embrace social wellness, with examples including: hosting monthly morning meetings where new staff and guests are introduced, group Bingo, and forming activities committees.
