Before & After in ! 🌿

On September 13, volunteers Jermaine and Aidan joined us for a cleanup and invasive removal at Tacony Creek Park near Bingham Street & Roosevelt Blvd — and the results speak for themselves! 💪

We cleared trash from the Bingham & Ashdale gateway, removed invasive plants, and maintained the trail leading up toward the Boulevard. Thanks to dedicated volunteers like Jermaine and Aidan, this stretch of the trail is safer, healthier, and more welcoming for everyone. 💚

Together, we ! our parks, trails, and creeks in 2024! 🧹💪

We are so grateful to PowerCorps PHL for 15 incredible workdays, tree plantings, and technical support with urban forest care 🌳. Shoutout to Bennett Compost for hosting weekly cleanups and to Philadelphia Parks & Recreation for tackling large-scale dumping and supporting our mission. Special thanks to Center for Employment Opportunities - CEO for their ongoing work keeping Tacony Creek Park litter-free five days a week!

Thank you to all the groups and individuals who volunteered! Your efforts are what keep our waterways clean and safe for all. Let’s keep the momentum going into 2025! 🌍🛶

We’re so grateful to our TTF volunteers and Tacony Creek Park Keepers who joined us last night and to everyone who contributed their time and energy throughout the year to keep our parks and creeks thriving. You are the heart of our community!

Congratulations to our friends at Friends of Vernon Park for receiving the Park Legacy Award for their amazing stewardship, advocacy, and commitment to their space! 💚🎉This historic location was where we installed our first-ever rain garden, a special Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) feature!
