NCTC is pleased to announce an upcoming training opportunity: Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs and the Criminal Connection a comprehensive course designed to enhance your understanding and investigative capabilities related to outlaw motorcycle gangs (OMGs).
This two-day, in-depth training explores the evolution of OMGs from their origins in the 1930s to today’s highly organized, global criminal enterprises. Participants will gain valuable insight into OMG structure, culture, criminal activity, and investigative strategies essential for modern law enforcement operations.
Course Overview:
Today’s OMGs operate as sophisticated criminal syndicates with international reach, often connected to drug trafficking organizations and other global criminal networks. This course immerses attendees in the OMG subculture, equipping them with the knowledge needed to effectively identify, investigate, and disrupt these organizations.
Training Topics Include:
* History and evolution of OMGs in the United States
* Identification of dominant OMGs through tattoos, colors, symbols, and terminology
* Criminal trends, patterns, and narcotics investigations
* Officer safety considerations and lawful contact procedures
* Intelligence gathering, information sharing, and team-based investigations
* Case law, source development, and report writing
