The clients' ages range from newborn to 80+ years old and assistance is provided to individuals and families. The following consists of the main services provided at our Northeast location:
-Pregnancy and Parenting Support Services: Our services include weekly online pregnancy and parenting class workshops based on an array of educational topics that focus on strengthening knowledge on baby or to
ddler care and nurturing families. When clients attend and participate in our workshops, they can earn baby bucks where they have access to shop once a month in our wonderful baby boutique and the ladies' locker. Clients can choose to buy with their earned baby bucks from a large selection of diapers, wipes, various baby care items, baby clothing, toys, and formula or baby food. We offer bathroom items, particularly hygiene products for women known as the Ladies' Locker that is open to clients where they can spend their baby bucks as well. For clients who do not speak either language, we offer our services case by case with monthly appointments as needed for material items assistance. Please ask for the translation line with your spoken language when you call, and we will ensure that we are meeting your needs! Our pregnancy and parenting educators provide supportive counseling services that include direct referrals based on the family's needs. Our educators can provide a direct referral for a free portable pack n' play crib through our partners at Maternity Care Coalition. We can also assist you through the application for a free car seat through CHOP. Lastly, we host various specialty in-person workshops and annual events, such as our Mother's Day Luncheon, a Community Baby Shower, a Women's Health, Education, and Career Fair, and other fun family events offered to our clients and the public.
-The Emergency Food Cupboard: Our Food Cupboard is open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9am-12pm. Available once a month per household. Please bring reusable bags with you.
-The Out of School Time and Summer Camp Program: Our school-based program offers an array of creative after-school activities in the late afternoon aimed at youth development and family support. These programs are in neighborhoods with high poverty and crime rates and significant child welfare problems. Rooted in Catholic faith, Programs are educational, social, and recreational in nature, and serve school-aged children and adolescents from the community.
-Application for Government Program Benephilly: a free program that helps low-income Philadelphians enroll for critical benefits and services.
-Clarifi: offers mortgage assistance, budgeting, and financial empowerment. For more information, please call 215-563-5665.
-Catholic Clinical Consultants are available to provide solution-focused therapy to individuals, couples, and families. We assist schools and parishes in responding to crisis situations.
