Thank you to everyone who made "Spring into Wellness!" a success! 🌿💚

This past Saturday, approximately 300 community members came to PASSi's Evergreen Center for our first-ever "Spring into Wellness!" Health Fair, presented by our title sponsor Keystone First / Community HealthChoices.

The energy in Evergreen Center was incredible, as in close partnership with the doctors and medical students of our community received:

✅ Free blood glucose testing, blood pressure checks, and vision screenings
✅ Vitals and intake support
✅ A mental wellness workshop
✅ One-on-one time with healthcare professionals
✅ Preventive care information and community resources
✅ Multilingual support in Korean, Vietnamese, Mandarin/Cantonese, and more
✅ Food and giveaways!

None of this would have been possible without our amazing partners.

A huge thank you to Keystone First for their continued investment in our community's health and wellness, and to our clinical and community partners Drexel University College of Medicine.

Did you know you could get up to $1,000 back from Pennsylvania? 💰

Many seniors, widows/widowers, and adults with disabilities are eligible for the Property Tax & Rent Rebate (PTRR) — but the application can be confusing, especially if English isn't your first language.

That's why PASSi, Keystone First Community HealthChoices , and Pennsylvania Department of Revenue are hosting a FREE workshop where a Department of Revenue representative will sit with you one-on-one and help you file your application on the spot.

👉 WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
✅ Seniors age 65+
✅ Widows/widowers age 50+
✅ Adults with permanent disabilities age 18+
✅ Must be a PA resident who owns a home or pays rent

👉 WHAT TO BRING:
📌 Photo ID
📌 2025 proof of income (Social Security statement, 1099, pay stubs)
📌 Rent receipt, bank statement showing rent payments, OR property tax proof of payment
⚠️ RENTERS: You will need a Rent Certificate (PA-1000 RC) completed by your landlord BEFORE you come. This is the #1 reason applications get delayed — don't skip this step!

❗ IMPORTANT: Even if you applied last year, you must apply again. This is not automatic.

Appointment slots are limited — a DOR representative will work with you individually in 20-minute sessions to file electronically.

We can also help you apply for other benefits you may be eligible for, like PACE or SNAP!

🐣 Spring is in full bloom at PASSi's Evergreen Center! 🌸

Our community came together for a fun-filled Easter Egg Painting event, and the creativity was off the charts!

From adorable hand-painted chicks and colorful designs to beautiful origami bunnies and flowers — our members (and staff) proved that art has no age limit 😊

Thank you to everyone who joined us for a morning of laughter, creativity, and togetherness.

Women's History Month @ PASSi

The month of March is recognized as Women's History Month. And it's a month that holds a special significance to PASSi.

Our company started in 2005 out of a small, donated corner of a hospital office — 200 square feet. But far, far larger was the vision and determination of a woman leader, our late founder, Ms. Im Ja Choi.

She was a pioneer who wouldn't take "No" for an answer in the face of barriers or hurdles to the dreams that she held for our organization. And by that same token, she was always looking for ways to say "Yes" to our community, defined broadly — always looking for new opportunities to serve, and to care for, our clients, our members and our neighbors.

PASSi continues to thrive because of a great many women team members, both here in our halls as well as in the apartments & homes of the homecare clients that PASSi serves — each, leaders and servants in their own right, are indispensable to our mission.

So, please join the PASSi team as, in collaboration with the Governor's Advisory Commission on Women (GACW), we celebrate Women's History Month this Friday.

We're filled with gratitude and joy following PASSi’s 20th Anniversary Gala—thank you for being a part of this unforgettable milestone!

What began 20 years ago as our late Founder Ms. Im Ja Choi’s loving vision for her mother has now grown into a movement—one built by the dedication, care, and support of community partners like you.

PASSi was deeply moved, and overjoyed, to be able to celebrate our 20-year anniversary together with a capacity crowd of more than 430 attendees. And we want to extend our deepest thanks to our generous sponsors:
