Proud to earn the endorsement of Teamsters Local 502 CASA. 💪🏾📚

These are the school leaders, administrators, climate staff, and education professionals who help keep Philadelphia’s schools running every single day and fight for students across our city.

I’ve always believed strong schools and strong unions go hand in hand. That’s why I’ve stood with educators and labor throughout my career — fighting for fair funding, better opportunities for students, and investment in our communities.

Grateful to have CASA Teamsters Local 502 standing with our campaign as we head into the final week. This campaign is powered by working people and focused on real results for Philly.

Rabble-Rousing is important, but it's not leadership. Protesting is important, but it doesn't pass bills. Speeches move voters, but not the politics of Congress.

In today's America, we need leadership. Chris Rabb is a strong advocate and rabble-rouser. But, we need leadership. We need bills passed. We need coalitions-built. We need Sharif Street for Congress.

A good night in the 59th Ward.

We had the Philadelphia Register of Wills office join us to walk our committee people through something most families avoid but everyone needs to understand: getting your affairs in order and protecting your loved ones.

S/O to April Scott-Street and Ronald Waters for coming out and making it real and practical for our community.

We also recognized commitment and ex*****on tonight. Committee person, Hassan Bolger, stepped up, circulated petitions, and got them turned in first and walked away with a new TV. That’s what leadership looks like.

And shoutout to ArchWell Health for opening their doors to us and continuing to show up as a true community partner. They said they wanted to be part of Germantown and they’re backing that up with action.

Strong meeting. Focused work.

We recently held an RCO meeting regarding the proposed development at 610–640 High Street.

There was a strong turnout, and neighbors raised important concerns around traffic, stormwater management, density, site layout, and overall impact on the surrounding area. Those concerns have been formally submitted to the Zoning Board as part of the process.

At the same time, this property has remained undeveloped for a long time. The question isn’t whether something will happen there; it’s how development happens in a way that is responsible and compatible with the community.

Our role is to make sure your concerns are heard and part of the official record, while also making sure we approach growth in a thoughtful and realistic way.

The Zoning Board will ultimately review the application on Wednesday, May 13th at 2:00pm via zoom (Meeting ID: MI-2026-000228) and consider all input as part of their decision.

Built on a long tradition of representation, unity, and service, the ward continues its commitment to bringing neighbors together and strengthening the voice of the community.

When it's Petition Time in the 59th Ward clipboards come out and signatures get collected.

This is the part people don’t always see. The organizing. The follow through. The discipline behind the scenes that help make representation possible.

Thank you to Saleema Lovelace of Lovelace & Associates for providing professional notary services to keep everything official and tight. Winning elections always comes down to the details.

And thank you to Courtney Childs for opening up Our House and allowing us to use it as headquarters. When a 59th Ward business creates space for civic work, that’s community in action.

We're proud of everyone who showed up, gathered signatures, and handled business.
