Philadelphia African American Leadership Forum

Philadelphia African American Leadership Forum The PAALF is a network of African American leaders committed to improving the quality of life and life chances for our city's African American community.

Established in June 2011, the Philadelphia Area African American Leadership Forum (PAALF) is a network of African American leaders committed to improving the quality of life and life chances for the African American community by strengthening the nonprofit sector. The PAALF has recently conducted research on African American-led nonprofit organizations in Philadelphia in an effort to record the vi

tal role that African American-led nonprofits play in local communities and in the city as a whole. The Forum is interested in exploring the extent to which African American-led nonprofits, as compared with nonprofits led by other groups, deliver added value (whether in terms of access, sensitivity, understanding of needs, etc.) to their operations. The Forum will use this research to inform capacity building strategies and create methods to deliver technical assistance to African American led nonprofit organizations.
