This school year we welcomed 2 seminarians from St. Charles Borromeo Seminary who helped us every Tuesday as we prepared bags of snacks for the needy and then distributed them on Philadelphia's Kensington Avenue. They were a pleasure to work with, and their smiling faces brought joy to all!
God bless you, Patrick and Daniel, and ALL OF OUR DEAR TUESDAY VOLUNTEERS!!!!

Our Ukrainian people were not forgotten this Easter, thanks to the many, many long hours spent by our dear Irene Leichliter (from Father Dan Troyan's "Holy Myrrh Bearers" parish in Swarthmore.) In total, she made over 200 paskas which were distributed to our Ukrainian families just on time for Easter! Her friend, Pat Cimchok , also made 200 butter lambs!
May the Lord reward BOTH of you (and EVERYONE who helped!)
Христос Воскрес!

Any day now our soldiers on the front line in Ukraine will be receiving over 50 boxes of supplies (for 600 individuals) which they requested from us. Our heartfelt thanks go out to EVERYONE who helped supply, collect, pack, and transport these boxes, and most especially to the United Ukrainian American Relief Committee which absorbed the shipping cost to Ukraine. The work took many, many weeks of long hours, but it was a labor of love!
Long live Ukraine, and God bless our heroes there!!!

This year, both Good Samaritan Food Pantry and St. Basil Support Ministry prepared more than 300 bags of toys, clothing, and candy for Ukrainian refugee children. This “Children’s Christmas Gathering” would not have been possible without donations from St. James Alumni (friends of Alex Hud), Father Dan Troyan’s “Myrrh-Bearers” parish, “Small Things Philly’, Ukrainian Cultural and Educational Center, Gloria Dei parishioners, Bill Ortlieb, Christian, and Margie Berlinghoff, as well as many other very generous individuals.
Thank you to ALL of these kind and generous people for making SO many children (as well as parents) VERY happy!
May God bless all of you with good health throughout this New Year!
