🚛 Reminder from the Rockledge Borough Police Department 🚤

As the weather gets nicer and more residents begin using boats, trailers, campers, and work vehicles, we wanted to send out a friendly reminder regarding Borough Ordinance § 528-30.

Under the ordinance, the parking of certain vehicles on Borough streets is prohibited, including:

• Trailers
• Boats on trailers
• Motor homes and campers
• Truck tractors and full trailers
• Trucks over 10,000 lbs GVW and/or dual rear wheel trucks
• Certain commercial vehicles and taxis

There are limited exceptions, including active contractor vehicles while work is being performed and seasonal snowplow provisions.

The goal of the ordinance is to help maintain safe roadway access, driver visibility, emergency vehicle access, and overall neighborhood safety.

Residents are encouraged to review the ordinance and make alternative parking arrangements when necessary. Huntingdon Pike does allow certain vehicles between sunrise and sunset in accordance with Borough regulations.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and understanding as we work to keep our streets safe and accessible for all residents.

Today, Officer Staley and Chief Schmalz had the pleasure of escorting the Fox-Rok Little League Opening Day Parade. Great to see the community out supporting the kids. Good luck to all the players this season.
