Friends of Gorgas Park

Today's wonderful volunteers arrived from far away Norman, Oklahoma.

They joined Friends of Gorgas Park through the nonprofit organization Project Philly.

4 hours of outstanding gardening took place - spreading compost, planting, mulching and tending our Park's beautiful Gardens.

This spring and early summer well over 200 people- students, teachers, young & old adults from the neighborhood -have donated several hundred volunteer hours toward maintaining our splendid Central Park in Roxborough Manayunk.

Our Visitors enjoyed the work - and our community very much.

A Fun, Productive effort helped make our Community & Park even more beautiful this June 10th.

21st Ward Veteran's Association held its annual Memorial Day Ceremony at Gorgas Park. Rain or shine every year, we honor our fallen armed services members who gave up their lives in service to the nation.

and .ridgerunners Car Show coincided today at Gorgas Park. Dozens of volunteers and scores of residents made for another community gathering urban oasis on a beautiful day in May.
