🎉 Congratulations to our Math Night winner, Parker C.! 🎉

Students earned tickets throughout the night by participating in fun, real-world math activities like building a meal under $15 and estimating the total cost of a shopping cart.

A big thank you to our PTO for generously donating the Publix gift card prize! We appreciate everyone who came out and made Math Night such a success! 🧮🛒💚

Math Night was a HUGE hit! 🛒➕📏💚
Lakewood families came to “shop” with their Birdies during our Family Math Night at Publix! We joined with LES which made it even more successful! Students were busy adding, subtracting, comparing, measuring, estimating, problem-solving, and so much more—all while having FUN with math in the real world! ✨
We loved seeing the smiles, teamwork, and excitement throughout Publix as our young mathematicians explored every aisle.
A HUGE thank you to Publix at Phenix Crossing for hosting our students and families and helping make this event so special! 💚

Our LPS Birdies have officially earned 100 points and celebrated with their SmartLab End-of-the-Year “Smarty Party!” 🎉🧠🔬 This was very special for our 2nd graders because this was their last LPS SmartLab. 🥹

Students got to choose their favorite STEM activities in science, technology, engineering, and math while enjoying some Smarties treats! 🍬 Throughout the year, they worked hard each week to earn enough points to guess and reveal exciting mystery toys. 🎁 As a special reward for reaching 100 points, they got to experience the science of a plasma ball! ⚡🔮

To celebrate an amazing year of science fun and discovery, Mrs. Hudson wore her best Mrs. Frizzle dress and brought a little extra science excitement to the day! 🚍✨

Yesterday, we hosted a Hero/Shero Luncheon and it was all about celebrating the incredible people who pour their time, heart, and energy into our school! Our Hero/Shero Luncheon was a beautiful tribute to the volunteers who make the magic happen at LPS. 🦅❤️

From the garden beds to the classrooms, your presence makes a world of difference for our birdies. We truly could not do this without your help!

A extra special SHOUT-OUT to our amazing PTO President! 🏆 Your tireless hard work, leadership, and dedication behind the scenes keep our school soaring. You are a true Shero in every sense of the word!
