Join us this June at Central High School for FREE summer meals for all children 18 years old and under!

📅 June 1 – June 30
🗓 Monday through Thursday

🍳 Breakfast: 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM
🍽 Lunch: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

✅ Children 18 and under eat FREE
✅ Meals must be consumed on site

What is a stop-motion video? Stop-motion animation is a filmmaking technique where a series of photos are taken, with small movements made between each picture. When the photos are played quickly in sequence, they create the illusion of movement.

Take a look at some of the stop-motion videos created by our STEAM Camp students today! Their creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills are on full display. We are proud of their hard work and can't wait for you to see what they created!

🌴 Paradise, Creativity, and STEAM Fun! 🌴

Days 3 and 4 of STEAM Camp were filled with hands-on learning and tropical-themed fun!

Day 3 was so exciting that we barely had time to take pictures. Our campers got busy creating slime, and let's just say things got a little sticky!

On Day 4, students put their creativity on full display as they designed and produced their own stop motion videos. We are incredibly proud of their hard work, imagination, and the amazing projects they created.

What an awesome first week with our SOAR students! Our Hawaiian themed kickoff was filled with smiles, laughter, new friendships, and lots of fun as students jumped right into learning and activities. We are so proud of the enthusiasm, positive attitudes, and SOAR spirit they showed all week long. Mahalo to our amazing students, staff, and families for helping make our first week such a success.

We can't wait to see all the great things our SOAR students will accomplish this summer!

🌺Aloha from Day 2 of STEAM Camp! 🌺

Today was another exciting day full of teamwork, creativity, and engineering fun!
We kicked off the morning with a team-building challenge called Row the Boat. Campers worked together to make it across the room while balancing a "boat hat" on their heads. If a hat fell off, a teammate had to come to the rescue and save their mate!

Next, students explored the science of bubbles by experimenting with a special bubble solution that allowed them to bounce bubbles right in their hands. It was a fun and fascinating way to learn about surface tension and chemistry.

Our final challenge of the day put students' engineering skills to the test. Using a variety of materials, campers designed and built their own boats. Their mission: create a boat that could float, hold weight, and travel across the water. Students began by sketching a blueprint, then carefully selected their materials and brought their designs to life.

We are so proud of the teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity our campers demonstrated today. We can't wait to see what adventures await tomorrow!

🌺🌴 Aloha! What an amazing first day of STEAM Camp! 🌴🌺

Our campers kicked off the day Hawaiian-style with a fun "Get to Know Me" Jenga game. As the tower grew taller, so did new friendships! Students worked together, communicating and encouraging one another as they carefully chose the best blocks to pull, building teamwork skills along the way.

Next, campers put their creativity and problem-solving skills to work using the Engineering Design Process to design and create their own bubble wands. From planning and testing to improving their designs, our young engineers were fully engaged in the challenge!

We wrapped up the morning with lots of laughter and excitement as we tested our creations and made giant bubbles across campus. There were smiles, teamwork, creativity, and plenty of bubble-filled fun!

Day 1 was a huge success, and we can't wait to see what adventures await at STEAM Camp tomorrow.
