Students are building teamwork, leadership, and critical thinking skills in the first two days of secondary science class at Phelps.
Day 1: Students decorated puzzle pieces that formed a mystery letter of the alphabet and decorated a lab coat to share their interests.
Day 2: Students were put into groups and challenged with forming the longest paper chain using 1 small roll of tape, 1 colored sheet of paper, 2 pairs of scissors and 1 glue stick. This challenge was given to students 6th - 10th grade. Stay tuned for the winner!
Overall, Mrs. Vold told students to "BE GREAT" this year and they are off to a GREAT start! 😁
The winners of the paper chain challenge made a chain 24ft 3in long!
