We are excited to celebrate the wonderful grandparents who fill our students’ lives with love, support, wisdom, and encouragement! 👵🏼👴🏼💕 Join us for our Grandparents’ Day Celebration on Thursday, September 10th! 🎉

We have an extra-special celebration planned!
🌟 Our grandparents will enjoy performances by:

🎶 Choir

📚✨ And there’s more! Grandparents’ Day will also be the FIRST DAY our Book Fair is open! Stop by and explore the Book Fair while visiting our campus!

Our students are officially enjoying Library Time and building a love for reading! 💚💙

We also spotted a CIF strategy in action in Mrs. Enriquez’s Kindergarten class! 🗣️💭 Our little learners practiced “Turn & Talk” to share their thinking, listen to their classmates, and grow their communication skills. 🌟

And the reading doesn’t stop there!

Our 1st Six Weeks Beanstack Reading Challenge is underway! 💙💚 From August 24 through October 2, we’re encouraging our Javelinas to make reading part of their everyday routine.

📖 Our goal: Read at least 20 minutes every day!
⏰ 1st Six Weeks Goal: 600 minutes

It’s time to read, read, READ! 💙💚 The PSJA Power Readers 2026–2027 District Recognition gives our students another exciting reason to pick up a book and let those reading minutes soar! 📖🚀

🏆 The Top 3 students in each grade level with the most minutes logged will receive a trophy at the End-of-Year Campus Awards Ceremony!

And our whole campus has something to work toward, too! Each six weeks, schools will have the opportunity to earn Power Readers Campus Banners for outstanding reading participation and improvement. 🌟
