Elected in 2015, I proudly represent the constituents of Precinct 2, which include the rural areas of Pharr, San Juan, Alamo, Hidalgo and South McAllen. I heard the residents loud and clear during my campaign and I am proud to say our team hit the ground running and in these two short years and we have already brought very much needed improvements to the county and precinct including:
>> Supporti
ng numerous nonprofits, such as The Boys & Girls Club, HOPE Clinic, CASA, Mujeres Unidas and Proyecto Azteca.
>> Paving over 14.5 miles of roads including César Chávez Road, Sioux Road, Eldora Road, San Antonio Avenue, Sgt. Many of these roads had not been repaved in over 15 years.
>> Turning $20 million of county funds into more than $60 million of major road projects, including a hike-and-bike trail project; all without increasing taxes. Other projects on my agenda include renovating and upgrading parks & drainage, providing youth centers to children in rural areas and increasing access to healthcare for his constituents. I am committed to improving the quality of life for the individuals and families, who live, work and do business in Hidalgo County Precinct 2.
