We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Thomas Muñoz, Fire Chief of the Houston Fire Department, for serving as our keynote speaker at this year’s Annual Staff Meeting. As a homegrown leader from the City of Pharr, Chief Muñoz’s message, leadership, and perspective made the event especially meaningful for our team.

This week, our department came together to reflect on this past year’s accomplishments and discuss our plans moving forward. We are proud to share that in 2025, our department set a new record by deploying over 25 members across Texas in support of Texas Task Force 3, EMTF-11, and the Texas Intrastate Mutual Aid System.

Thank you again, Chief Muñoz, for inspiring our staff and reminding us of the impact of service, leadership, and teamwork. 🚒🇺🇸

We stand together as a community during this difficult time, supporting our neighbors and families who have been impacted.

A special thank you to all our first responders, firefighters, and volunteers who are working tirelessly to assist those in need, rescue stranded individuals, and keep the community safe.
