The Kuempel Haus The Kuempel Haus is a unique and beautifully restored 1904 Victorian home on 22 acres. It is owned by and the home of Debby Krueger.

She is the 4th generation to reside on the homestead. Krueger Hall was added to the home enhance the stories it will tell.

Things have been a little melancholy over at The Kuempel Haus. Debby unearthed the old scrapbook/photo album of the taping of Bert and Dolly's movie "The Best Little W***e House in Texas" and it brought on smiles. There aren't many people who can bring such joy into the world and after reading your comments, it looks like many others feel the same way. Dolly Parton will always have a special place in the historic stories of the Kuempel Haus. The scene where Miss Mona poised so elegantly and says "Well, howdy, boys!" from the upstairs landing/window area during the opening musical number is just one of the examples of the life she brought to those stories. Who knew what a driving force she would become through her programs for literacy and her philanthropy throughout her community and state. In a world that can skew on the negative we say, "Be more like Dolly". Thank you Dolly Parton for being a driving force for good and for loving this grand old house. May your soul rest in peace.
