Fall Hydrant Flushing – September 21 to October 23

Fall hydrant flushing will take place on weekdays from September 21 through October 23, between 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The City flushes all hydrants twice a year, in spring and fall. This routine maintenance is performed to check the proper operation of the hydrants and verify adequate water pressure and flow. Flushing also removes sediment from the water distribution system to help maintain water clarity and water quality.

Please note that temporary water discoloration may occur during flushing. This is normal, and your water remains safe to drink during and after flushing. If discoloration occurs, run your cold-water tap for a few minutes until the water clears. To prevent staining, avoid doing laundry during scheduled flushing times.

⚠️ Election Cybersecurity Alert: Stay Vigilant Against Scams

As elections approach, cybercriminals may attempt to impersonate election offices through:

• 📧 Phishing emails
• 📞 Voice phishing (vishing) phone calls
• 📱 SMS phishing (smishing) text messages

These scams often claim there is an issue with your voter registration or ballot and ask you to verify your identity using a link to a website that appears official.

Protect yourself:
✅ Be cautious of unsolicited emails, calls, or texts about voting.
✅ Do not click links or provide personal information unless you have verified the source.
✅ Access voter information only through your state's official election website or by contacting your local election office directly.
✅ Report suspicious communications to election officials or appropriate authorities.

Remember: Election offices generally do not request sensitive personal information through unsolicited emails, texts, or phone calls.

When in doubt, go directly to trusted official election resources rather than using links provided in messages.

Stay informed. Stay secure. Protect your vote.
