Fourth Grade Fun:
A note from Mrs. Avdem

Earlier this school year, the 4th graders participated in the statewide Sign Warrior drawing contest, teaching the importance of keeping signs from being vandalized. Students were encouraged to create artwork to showcase the importance of being a Sign Warrior. Winners would have their drawing featured in the upcoming Sign Warrior Calendar.

Dakota Prairie’s winner was Lydia Congratulations!

Kelly from NDLTAP and NDSU came to present them with their awards and discuss the importance of keeping the signs safe and being a Sign Warrior.

Fifth Grade Field Trip:
A note from Mr. Beglau

My students have been learning about the Cold War in social studies class. We were able to a trip to the Oscar-Zero Missile Alert Facility on Wednesday. The kids were fascinated by the technology and power our state possessed during the Cold War years. The kids had great questions for our guide and had a great time touring a piece of history.
