What does respect look like?

It looks like honoring the men and women who wore this patch before us. The ones who answered the calls, served this community, and helped build the Petersburg Fire Department into what it is today.

We, welcomed our retirees back home. We shared stories, memories, and brotherhood while remembering those we’ve lost since our last gathering and throughout the years.

Their service will never be forgotten. Their legacy still rides with us every day.

Engine 4 and Fire Medic 4 attended a Pub Ed this morning in Legends Park promoting the Community Health Initiative. This was in support of Mental Health, Veteran Health and general wellness! We loved seeing everyone come out to support this great cause. Big thank you yo Hilaal Temple #229 and Hilaal Court # 218!

Engine 4 and other PFD Units are currently operating in Engine 4s first due with a 2 story residential structure with heavy fire showing.

The City has been busy with 2 fires in 24 hours. Engine 4 operated first due on scene of a single family dwelling with smoke showing from the roof. Units were able to make a quick knockdown on the fire.

Snow is falling down and Station 4 has a full house prepared for anything the weather throws our way! Engine 4, Squad 1 and Fire Ambulance 4 are fully staffed and ready to roll. Stay safe out there❄️☃️🌨️🚒

Engine 4 was originally dispatched for Smoke outside in the area of South Blvd and Wakefield . Engine 4 arrived in the area and quickly upgraded to a full assignment for a report of smoke in the area of South Blvd and Wakefield unknown source attempting to locate. Engine 4 tracked it down to 1880 S. Sycamore Street, located the source, and had water on the fire quickly. Truck 1 handled ventilation, and the rest of the assignment was disregarded. Fire knocked, no extension solid work, kept it small.

C shift crew of Station 4 responded to a Structure Fire on Frontage Road this afternoon. Engine 4 arrived on scene with smoke showing from a commercial building. Upon investigation found a piece of machinery on fire and quickly extinguished it. Great work from all crews this afternoon.
