⚠️ SCAM ALERT ⚠️

Recently family members of inmates have received calls from individuals identifying themselves as employees with our department advising them to send payments via venmo/paypal to post bond for their incarcerated family members to be released.
Never send payments by any of these types of accounts. If you have someone in our jail call the Sheriff’s Office (812) 354-6024 to find out the proper method to post a bond.

Recently several residents have received phone calls stating they owe fines etc. from individuals claiming to be with various agencies. Always be suspect of phone calls or texts stating you owe fines etc.
