STATEMENT FROM THE PIKE COUNTY SCHOOL CORPORATION

PETERSBURG, IN — May 14, 2026 — The Pike County School Corporation (PCSC) Board has severed all ties with a former Pike Central High School teacher accused of inappropriate conduct with a student. PCSC initiated formal termination proceedings before receiving a handwritten resignation and will fully cooperate with law enforcement. The alleged conduct violates every standard of professional conduct the Board demands of those who serve our students. The Board will proactively assist the Indiana State Police and the criminal prosecution to ensure accountability.
