Receive prizes for reading this summer!
The Petersburg Public Library's 2026 Summer Reading Program encourages children and teens to read at least 30 minutes each day, track their reading time, and complete age-appropriate reading activities throughout the summer.
Participants can log their reading through the Beanstack website or use a paper reading log available from the Children's Department.
Prize opportunities include Busy Boards, Squishmallows, 3D-printed creations, travel duffle bags, and more.
Important Dates:
• June 30 – Deadline for entry into the first prize drawing
• July 1 – First Grand Prize Drawing
• July 30 – Deadline for entry into the final prize drawing
• July 31 – Final Grand Prize Drawing
Reading during the summer helps prevent learning loss, strengthen reading skills, expand vocabulary, encourage imagination, and build confidence.
