The celebration continues this Saturday as PRAHD hosts its Mexican Flag Raising at International Park on Sadowski Parkway, starting at 12 PM.

Yesterday, our first responders and City team traded their usual duties for gloves and cleanup gear, joining our Public Works Clean Communities team to give some extra care to the area around the Public Safety Complex.

Different departments. Different roles. One community.

🚧 Road improvements continue across Perth Amboy!

May Avenue and Jennerty Court have been freshly paved, while milling is underway on Forbes Avenue as we prepare for the next phase of paving.

These neighborhood improvements are part of our continued work to improve our streets, one block at a time.

Perth Amboy Day reminded me why I’m so proud to call this city home.
Our history lives along the waterfront, our cultures fill the stage, and our neighbors show up for one another. ❤️
I loved seeing families enjoy the hayrides and bouncies, learn about our historic sites, and connect with the City departments and community partners at their tables.

Thank you to our Office of Recreation for bringing the day together, and to every performer, vendor, volunteer, sponsor, and partner who took part.

Most of all, thank you to everyone who came out. You made it a day to remember. See you next year!

Perth Amboy Day me recordó por qué me siento tan orgulloso de llamar a esta ciudad mi hogar.

Nuestra historia se encuentra a lo largo del paseo marítimo, nuestras culturas llenan el escenario y nuestros vecinos siempre se hacen presentes. ❤️

This past Friday, Perth Amboy came together in remembrance, reflection, and unity as we commemorated the 25th Anniversary of September 11, 2001.

Together, we honored the innocent lives lost, including two of our very own Isaias Rivera & Officer Richard Rodriguez, paid tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of the first responders who answered the call, and reflected on the resilience that carried our nation forward in the aftermath of tragedy.

Thank you to everyone who joined me for this meaningful ceremony and helped ensure that the memory of those we lost continues to live on. As we marked this solemn milestone, we were reminded that the values of courage, service, compassion, and unity remain as important today as they were 25 years ago.

May we continue to honor their legacy by standing together as a community and never forgetting the lessons and sacrifices of September 11.🇺🇸🕊️💙

El pasado viernes, Perth Amboy se reunió en un acto de recuerdo, reflexión y unidad para conmemorar el 25.º aniversario del 11 de septiembre de 2001.
