The Perry County Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated Perry County and those who make it such a wonderful to place to live, work, play and learn at its Annual Banquet and Awards Ceremony held last night at beautiful Ogden Hall at Lake Sylvia Recreation Area. The Presenting Sponsor for this year’s Banquet & Ceremony was Farmers & Merchants Bank.
The evening began with food, fellowship and a silent auction. The food was delicious and it was catered by Christina Lloyd.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of the awards. Justice of the Peace Butch Hoyt was named this year’s the Citizen of the Year and Jayden Warren was honored as the Youth Citizen of the Year. Jamie Chambliss was recognized as the Educator of the Year and CMR Real Estate, LLC was named as the county’s Business of the Year.
In addition to the awards, the Chamber provided a report on its activities over the past year and all attending the banquet competed in a fun and spirited Arkansas-themed trivia competition.
"It was a wonderful banquet," said Donnie Crain, President & CEO of the Perry County Chamber of Commerce. "A fun-filled night with food & fellowship, celebrating the very best of Perry County. It was an honor to celebrate the great accomplishments of our award winners and we are very excited about the future of the Chamber and our community."
