About Cape County Republican Women’s Club
The purpose of the Cape County Republican Women’s Club is to create a permanent working body in the Republican Party, whose function is to influence the selection, nomination, election, or appointment of Republicans to:
1) Federal, State, and local public office
2) Office in a political organization
3) Election of Presidential or Vice Presidential elector

Annually, the Republican Women’s Club is charged with planning and executing the Lincoln Day Banquet which provides a forum for candidate speeches, awards, and recognition. The organization meets monthly on the first Friday of every month at noon at Delmonicos. At the meetings, members enjoy lunch, educational programming, fellowship, and learn about candidate volunteering opportunities. Our organization consists of both area Republican men and women. The executive board of the Cape Girardeau County Republican Women’s Club would like to announce the dissolution of this organization as of Wednesday, January 29, 2025.
Club funds were donated to Safe House of Southeast Missouri, SEMO-NASV and Options for Women.

The Cape Girardeau County Republican Women's Club has dissolved because of declining membership and volunteer shortages. Remaining funds were donated to local charities, and members can join the Southeast Missouri Federation of Republican Women.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – 4/22/2024

PER SECTION 115.361 RSMo., CANDIDATE FILING FOR CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY PUBLIC ADMINISTRATOR WILL REOPEN FOR A PERIOD OF FIVE DAYS, MONDAY MAY 13, 2024 at 8:00 AM THROUGH FRIDAY, MAY 17, 2024 AT 4:30 PM.

Candidates for nomination to the Office of Public Administrator will be on the ballot for the August 6, 2024 Primary Election.

Candidates should file at the Office of the Cape Girardeau County Clerk, County Administration Building, 1 Barton Square, Suite 301, Jackson, MO between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

First day filers will select a number by random drawing to determine placement on the primary ballot. After the first day, candidates are placed on the ballot in the order of their filing.

At the time of filing, Candidates for Office of Public Administrator shall provide a signed affidavit from a surety company authorized to do business in this state indicating the candidate meets the bond requirements of said Office.

Interested individuals are encouraged to review the candidate qualifications on the Cape Girardeau County Clerk’s website (https://www.capecounty.us/cape-girardeau-county-clerk/candidate-filing-information). Candidates will be asked to show proof of identification and submit a $100 filing fee (cash or check) payable to the County Central Committee of the candidate’s political party.

Thanks to all who joined us at the May meeting. What a great luncheon we had visiting with fellow members and guests and hearing from some great candidates.
Representative Burger spoke on the many bills he has helped pushed through and continuing to work through. He also spoke of his candidacy for the State Senate Dostrict 27.
Ronnie Maxwell, candidate for Cape County Treasurer, shared with the group his background in banking, involvement in the community and how he would like to continue serving.
Matt Henson, candidate for Cape County Treasurer, spoke of his background in banking, life in retirement and the various political groups he has been apart of.
We hope to see you at our next meeting on June 7th.
