Green-Perrysville Joint Fire District

Green-Perrysville Joint Fire District This page was formed to reach out and provide information to the wonderful community that we provide service to.

The Perrsville Volunteer Fire Department was founded in 1933 (More background info coming soon). In 2008 the Green-Perrysville Joint Fire District was formed, allowing us to begin staffing the fire department through funding of the Green-Perrysville EMS levy. We currently staff 2 members during the day (9 am to 5 pm 7 days a week) to provide emergency medical services. In the event of multiple squ

ad calls volunteers are called in for additional personnel, emergencies that happen from 5pm-9am and fire services are provided by an all volunteer staff. We provide healthcare and basic CPR classes as well as first aid classes. We currently have a roster of 24 members and 10 pieces of equipment (2 ALS Squads, 2 engines, 2 tankers, grass truck, utility pickup, ATV, and an inflatable boat). We strive to meet the needs of our community and surrounding communities. We provide mutual aid services to Mifflin fire department, Loudonville fire department, Hayesville-Vermillion fire department, Worthington Township fire department, and Monroe Township Fire and EMS. We welcome your questions, and thank you for your support!

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to Loudonville Fire Department and Cleveland Clinic for the invitation to participate in an informative Landing Zone lecture and fly-in demonstration in Loudonville yesterday evening for our weekly training.

Opportunities such as these are essential in fostering effective interagency coordination and enhancing operational readiness. Interoperability among agencies remains a critical component of emergency response, and we value the opportunity to further strengthen our relationships with our mutual aid partners through collaborative training and education.

Thank you again for your hospitality and continued commitment to public safety and professional cooperation.

Today, we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Memorial Day is more than the start of summer, it is a day of reflection, gratitude, and honor for those who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect the freedoms we enjoy every day.

The members of the Green Perrysville Joint Fire District stand proudly in remembrance of our nation’s fallen heroes and the families who continue to carry their legacy forward. Their courage and selflessness will never be forgotten.

We would also like to take a moment to honor the past members of the Green Perrysville Joint Fire District. To those who came before us, thank you for your dedication, sacrifice, and commitment to serving this community. Your hard work paved the way for where we are today, and your legacy continues through every call answered and every life touched by this department.

From all of us at the Green Perrysville Joint Fire District, we wish everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day as we remember those who gave everything for our country and honor those who helped build our department into what it is today.

Green Perrysville Joint Fire District would like to remind all residents and motorists to use extreme caution following the recent significant rainfall in our area.

Roadways may be hazardous due to standing water, reduced visibility, and potential flooding. Please slow down, allow extra travel time, and remain alert for changing conditions.

⚠️ Never attempt to drive through flooded roadways. Even a small amount of moving water can sweep a vehicle away.

👉 Turn around, don’t drown.

Your safety is our top priority. Stay informed, stay alert, and stay safe.

(County Road 1075 is currently under water)

A huge shout out to our wonderful Ashland County Dispatchers, road crews, Deputies, utility crews and more! Everyone was giving it their best today to make sure our communities stay safe! Please understand the utility companies aren’t miracle workers and it is going to take some time to get services restored. They’re doing the best they can, please ensure that when you see flashing lights you give crews ample space to work!
