Sunshine one minute, rain the next... welcome to Florida!

This weekend brought a little bit of everything, from beautiful sunshine to plenty of rain. No matter what Mother Nature had in store, Sergeant Young, Deputy B. Davis, Deputy Uhl, Deputy Vickers, Deputy Toth, and Deputy Collins were out serving Taylor County and answering the call.

No matter the forecast, our deputies show up ready to work and committed to keeping our community safe.

See a Dive Flag? Slow Down and Stay Alert!

Our beautiful waters are a favorite spot for scalloping, diving, and boating this time of year. If you see a red dive flag, remember that someone may be in the water nearby.

✔️ Stay at least 300 feet away in open water and 100 feet away in rivers, inlets, or navigation channels.
✔️ Idle speed only when approaching a dive flag.
✔️ Keep an eye out for divers surfacing unexpectedly.

A little extra awareness on the water can help prevent accidents and save lives. Let's all do our part to keep Taylor County's waterways safe and enjoyable for everyone.

4-H Legislature preparation continued today for Taylor County youth!

We couldn’t think of a better person than John Ketring to help bring the experience to life. A proud 4-H alum and former member of the 4-H Legislative Committee, John shared his knowledge and passion with our youth as they prepare to represent Taylor County next week at the Capitol.

PTSD Awareness Month.💜

PTSD isn't always what people think it is.

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder can affect people in many different ways. It's more than just reliving a traumatic event, it can include anxiety, nightmares, hypervigilance, intrusive thoughts, emotional distress, sleep problems, and much more.

You never know what someone may be carrying behind a smile. A little kindness, understanding, and support can make a big difference.

If you or someone you know is struggling, remember: You are not alone, and help is available
