🎉🚒 Thank You, Barb! 🚒🎉
On July 31, 2026, the Perry Joint Fire District celebrated the retirement of Fire District Secretary Barb Fieth after more than 30 years of dedicated service to the Perry community.
Barb began her career with the Perry Joint Fire District on November 13, 1995, and for more than three decades served as our Fire District Secretary. Her professionalism, dedication, and unwavering commitment helped support not only our firefighters and staff, but also the residents we proudly serve.
Throughout her career, Barb assisted four Fire Chiefs and became the longest-serving secretary in the history of the Perry Joint Fire District. She played an important role in countless department activities, including the Perry Firefighters Association, fire levy committees, annual Pancake Breakfasts, the James Garofalo Scholarship, and many community events. Behind the scenes, her organization, knowledge, and willingness to help kept the department running smoothly every day.
We were honored to celebrate Barb with family, friends, current and retired members during her retirement luncheon and final ride home. In a fitting tribute, Barb was given her final ride home in the Perry Joint Fire District ATV, the very same ATV she spent so many community parades riding in while handing out candy and greeting families.
The smiles, stories, and memories shared throughout the day were a testament to the impact Barb has had on so many lives.
Barb, thank you for your loyalty, friendship, and more than 30 years of outstanding service. Your dedication has left a lasting legacy within the Perry Joint Fire District, and you will be greatly missed.
Please join us in congratulating Barb on a well-earned retirement and wishing her many years of happiness! 🚒
