Florida is a Closed Primary State

In Florida, that means you must be a member of a political party to vote in that party’s primary election.
➡️You may change your party affiliation at any time, but you must do so at least 29 days prior to an election to vote for a party candidate in a primary election.
➡️All registered voters, including those with minor or no party affiliation, are eligible to vote in nonpartisan judicial, school board and local municipal races.
➡️When all the candidates for an office in a primary election are the same party and the winner will have no opposition in the general election, all voters are eligible to vote in the primary for that office (universal primary contest).
