A big thank you to some of our dedicated volunteer fire department members who recently installed new fire hoses on one of our fire trucks! đźš’

Thanks to the support of township residents through the Fire Protection Services millage approved in November 2024, we are continuing to improve and update equipment for our volunteer fire department. In addition to the new hoses, we will also be receiving two new radios for our trucks to help improve communication and emergency response.

We are grateful for the time, training, and commitment our volunteer firefighters give to help protect our community. Their dedication and willingness to serve play an important role in keeping our township safe each and every day.

Thank you to all of our volunteers for everything you do for our township!

There’s something special about looking back at the moments that shaped our community.

In the spring of 2008, Bev Lippens set out with a simple idea—to spruce up the village of Perkins. What followed was a beautiful example of small-town spirit. Her enthusiasm brought together Mid-Pen students and neighbors, all pitching in to paint curbs and brighten the town.

The Perkins American Legion and Lions Club welcomed volunteers with a meal at their hall, adding fellowship and laughter to a day of hard work.

And Bev’s dedication didn’t stop there—she designed, built, and installed the welcome sign that still stands as a symbol of pride and care for our village.

This snapshot in time, shared in a township article from July 2008, reminds us of who we are and what we can accomplish together.

We’re truly lucky to live in a township where people show up for one another, where pride runs deep, and where kindness and volunteerism continue to shape the place we call home. 💛

đźšš Thank You, Enbridge! đźšš

Baldwin Township would like to extend a sincere thank you to Enbridge, Inc. for their generous donation of a 2019 Chevy Silverado 3500 HD 4x4 equipped with a BOSS V-plow.

This donation will be a valuable addition to our township fleet and will help us keep snow cleared so our emergency vehicles are ready when needed. It will also keep access open to the Town Hall, which is equipped with an emergency generator and can serve as a community shelter during extended power outages.

We would also like to extend special thanks to Trevor LaChance, Baldwin Township Volunteer Firefighter, for bringing this opportunity to the township’s attention and to Terre Anderson, Township Clerk, for doing all the legwork to help make this donation possible.

We are grateful for Enbridge’s support of our rural community! 👏
