The final 2025-26 MHS school year goodbye...for the 5th graders as they move on to Brady Middle School...for the MHS retirees with a collective 245 years in education...for the staff as they wrap up another school year...and for all the students as they look forward to summer and a new school year in the fall. A rite of passage for MHS 5th graders is the "signing of the shirts" tradition prior to the annual clap-out and walk over the bridge. Definitely a keepsake our young graduates hold onto and cherish for years to come!

Before the final goodbyes by MHS students and staff, the fifth graders were feted with their own Recognition Ceremony. Family and friends gathered in the MHS gym to celebrate their students who are crossing the bridge to Brady Middle School. The (future) OHS Class of 2033 students were each called by name and congratulated by their respective fifth-grade teachers and Assistant Principal Lyndon Brooks, following opening remarks. 2026 retiree Jennifer Gold was also recognized as she "read the 5th graders' names for the final time" and the fifth-grade staff was recognized. "Tune In", under the direction of Matt Parrotta and Kayla Hoye, performed a wonderfully uplifting arrangement of "Seize the Day" before a social gathering hosted by the Orange Elementary & Middle School PTA. Congratulations to our new middle school students!!!

The Unity Day 2026 Super Games Festival, coordinated by teachers Jennifer Gold and Chad Zubkousky, was filled with an afternoon of Tug-of-War contests by grade, "semiquincentennial" popsicles provided by the Orange Elementary & Middle School PTA, and time for other classes to experience and enjoy the nine "Super Games" stations! Even some staff members got into the act! Gorgeous weather, wonderful organization, and ample time to enjoy classmates' company made for a wonderful culmination to the school year for MHS students. Thanks to the PTA, staff, and parents who all made the day such a success!
