What is CIP, you ask?

Crisis Intervention Partners (CIP) is a community-based training program designed to strengthen how we respond to individuals experiencing mental health crises, trauma, substance use challenges, and other difficult situations.

While Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training focuses primarily on law enforcement and human services, CIP expands that collaboration by bringing together community partners, including EMS, fire departments, schools, healthcare providers, church groups, dispatchers, and others who commonly encounter individuals in crisis.

This August, Pepin County will begin offering CIP training as part of our continued commitment to improving communication, collaboration, safety, and support for individuals and families in our community.

By working together, we can build a stronger and more compassionate response system for everyone in Pepin County.

All for a good cause. If you’re able to donate please do so. The blood bank is low.

Summer donors needed! Please join our Monday, July 6th Pepin Community & High School Scholarship Blood Drive from 11am – 5pm!

Donors are urged to stay active this summer to help maintain readily available blood resources for patients. Emergency situations are on the rise, fewer donors give, putting more pressure on a decreased blood supply over the next 3 months.

PLUS each donation counts towards high school scholarship rewards for our student leaders! Get a NEW Red Cross + Looney Tunes t-shirt to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the U.S.

Every month, our crew trains to keep our skills sharp and prepare for the calls that come through so we can better serve our community. So if you live near the village hall and heard screaming tonight — don’t worry, we just had some incredibly committed actors helping with a training scenario!

A huge thank you to all who helped support our firefighters during today’s incident.

We would like to thank Durand Municiple Ambulance Service and Plum City/Maiden Rock Ambulance for assisting us in helping keep firefighters from multiple agencies rehabbed and cared for on scene.

We also want to thank Cenex in Pepin for generously donating water and Powerade to help keep everyone hydrated throughout the incident. Durand Fire for bringing sandwiches and drinks.

Your support, teamwork, and generosity are truly appreciated.

Also, a thank you to a family member of the property owner for bringing in pizzas.
