Have you tried audiobooks? You can download e-audios from the Libby app to use when we are closed tomorrow, Monday, September 7. You can also stop in and check out audiobooks on CDs if your vehicle has that player anytime we are open. There are tens of thousands audiobooks in the MORE system, find one you will enjoy.

The ChitChat book club will meet on Thursday, September 10 at 1 pm. You can stop in Tuesday to pick up a copy of the book. We will be closed Monday. This informal discussion group is open to everyone. Come join your friends and neighbors this month or any of the other months; we meet the second Thursday each month.

The library will be closed this coming Monday, September 7. Please stop in Saturday 9 am - 1 pm to check out materials to use over this holiday. We will reopen at our regular 10 am time on Tuesday, September 8. Have a great weekend.

Put the next author visit on your calendar. Tuesday, September 15, at 7 pm Goren Pesic will speak at the library about his latest book, The Greatest Mysteries of Lake Pepin: American Loch Ness in the Heart of the Driftless Area. His presentation will cover local history and mysteries of the area. This is a free event and all are welcome to attend.

If you need help with your PIN the library staff can help.

Starting on Monday, October 5, users will have to enter both their library card number and PIN to access ebooks, audiobooks, and magazines from OverDrive, whether via the Libby app or the Wisconsin's Digital Library site. This will be the same PIN used for logging into the MORE Catalog and MORE Libraries app. According to OverDrive, this is "part of our ongoing commitment to providing secure access to your library’s digital resources."

Next Monday, September 7 the library will be closed for Labor Day. We will be open regular hours this week, September 1-5. Plan ahead for this one day closure.

September is national library card sign up month. You can stop in during any open hours to get your card or a card for your child. Cards are free to residents of Wisconsin with proper ID and proof of address. Get your card and start using the many resources of the public library.
